- Cell phones are crucial in today's world, communication technology is convenient and at times absolutely necessary. The right to carry a communication device on one's person should extend to children as well
- If phone use becomes disruptive to the learning process something should surely be done. It goes without saying the phone use should be prohibited during class time except in cases of emergencies.
- Phone use in the halls between class time is a little trickier, if students choose to use their personal phone between classes and such use does not interfere with their ability to arrive at class on time then it should be considered a basic right. Of course if the phone is being used for any sort of disruptive purpose, there is cause for case by case disciplinary action.
