I too have family in Silsbee, Kountze and Beaumont and havn't gotten any info.

I have been in contact with some of the officials in Orange.  Yes, it is true that there were/are people in Orange on there roof tops.  This is mainly in West Orange. This is also the case in many areas of Bridge City.
If you would like to see some pictures of Orange go to www.changingtimesnews.com go to photos.
These are pictures that a resident in Orange has been taking.
Also, KOGT.com Photo gallery, Events folder has Bridge City and Orange photos.

Has anyone heard anything about texas city? My mother has a house down there... she is safe in League City with my daughter but we are wondering about Texas City...doesn't seem to be any news.

Yes.  Go to www.kbmt12.com.  It's the ABC affiliate located in Beaumont, TX which is still able to stream live online via a generator.  People are calling in with eyewitness reports.  I'm sorry to say that reports so far are that Orange was inundated with storm surge (some areas worse than others).  A man from Bridge City called from his attic where he and his family are while rest of his house has 5 feet of water and rising.  Station is requesting officials to call so information can be disbersed.  Another good site is The Beaumont Enterprise, www.beaumontenterprise.com, the local newspaper.

I am from S.E. Texas, now living in Redondo Beach, CA, and have family in Silsbee, Kountze and Beaumont.  Some stayed behind in Silsbee and Kountze.

We'll keep praying for all those who remained and for those who left.  Best of luck to you and yours!

Any news on Vidor or Bridge City

I live in Atlanta, GA and have family in Vidor and Bridge City and they aren't mentioning those cities on the news here.  Is there flooding in Vidor or Bridge City?  Everybody ok there?

Believe that was in Bridge City. It was on KFDM steaming video earlier a family was trapped in their attic there.
