I always go southeasttexas.com and look under food. Also, we buy our beef from a co-op with Belle Brook Farms in Nacagodoches. No antibiotics or hormones.
You should always buy honey from the area you're in. Due to the pollen that the bees collect, you'll be better off allergy wise to ingest some of the local pollen related product for its sinus and allergy remedies. Our area has local products of coffee, seasonings, sauces, jellies and jams. If you'd be more specific in what you'd like, I bet a lot of our people could point you in a local direction.
I recently moved to the area and am looking for some information. I was at Market Basket in Port Acres this afternoon amd happened across a display of honey products made by Southern Gold Honey Co. in Vidor. I'm wondering where in southeast Texas I might go to find more locally produced foods.
