Look at pages 37-40 on this weeks City Council agenda.

They are slashing city workers benefits again. I'm not sure of all the implications but it looks like they are cutting college reimbursements, time off for the death of a family member, military leave, jusry duty, and more... What is this council and city manager think of its emplyees? Vote these suckers out while we can!!!

According to this informal forum, it looks like Ames doesn't have a chance. I wonder........

I was going to vote for Ms. Ames, but I'm not really sure right now. This Hawkins lady is looking better and better. Oh well, I still have a few days!

Mrs. Hawkins all the way! She brings alot to the table with her enthusiasm and vision for Beaumont. The actions of city council of late seem to be taking this city a negative direction.

Mrs Hawkins is the best choice. She represents the values and fresh voice the city needs right now. She has gained a lot of support here recently and will make a great choice for mayor. While Mrs. Ames comes with experience as a Council Woman, I don't feel she has the particular character and leadership for mayor that Beaumont needs right now.
