I grew up in Lumberton and was bullied throughout my entire time in school. Once I graduated and moved away, I was happy to see those that bullied me working crappy jobs, getting fat, getting arrested. HAHAHAHA!
Bullies exist because their parents suck at parenting.
I'm just glad that God sees fit to reward those who stick it out.
You'll never rid the world of bullies. You must teach your children how to deal with them. Let them know the bullies will get theirs. They'll get arrested, have a crappy job, etc. The bullied will have the last laugh.
GOD FORBID I SHOULD EVER HAVE TO SEND MY KIDS TO SCHOOL!!! I AM READING WHERE PAISD, BISD PNGISD, AND VIDOR ISD ARE ALL HAVING PROBLEMS. PARENTS NEED TO START TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR KIDS, STOP PUTTING THEMSELVES FIRST AND GIVE THEIR KIDS WHAT THEY NEED___A BUTT BEATING!!!!
My daughter was bullied, made fun of,called all sorts of names. She became an outcast, started running with a bad crowd, taking drugs,etc.... She is sitting in jail right now for breaking parole. Please I beg you to speak up,shout, scream, but make the school do something. They simple told me it wasn't their problem. They can't be with her 24 hours a day. Well, neither could I,unless I quit my job...my daughter was in the nurses's office almost everyday with "stomach ulcers". I know the school's job is to teach, but at what cost??? If the kids parents would band together, bring it up at PTA meetings...some parents don't even know there child is being bullied! or know that there child is the bully! Stop it NOW!
Their are problems with bullies in BISD. I know some parents who have kids over at Amelia Elementary and they deal with it on a daily basis. They can't get no help, because the bully has rights too. So much for a free and appropriate education.
Not BISD, but PAISD has issues with it, big time. Down to the elementary school level. The school districts here suck. Flat out. Our only option is to move our kids to Nederland or somewhere that teachers can do their jobs right. Sorry your kid is getting bullied, sincerely. The poor teachers might be overlooking it since they are dealing with pregnancies, fist fights, weapons, guns, drugs, gangs, sexual misconduct....the list goes on and on. They can only do so much and children like yours are the ones who suffer. :(
